As many others have discovered, space constraints along the y-axis made a 90-degree cable cover a necessity for me too. To accommodate crimp terminals, I printed MIKEYMCC's large version, but then measured the required y-space for the first time and found that it was still too big by about 15 mm. So, I started designing my own from scratch. A huge thank you to MIKEYMCC for providing the .step file. In the suspect's lineup in the pictures, from left to right: - Prusa original straight cover - MIKEYMCC's large cover - My first attempt had a couple of corners lifting up and distances for the body and strain relief not quite right - Second attempt fixed corners on the body but still had issues with the strain relief - Third attempt looked usable, with strain relief rotated 90 degrees for printing - Fourth attempt was fine-tuned, and nobody needs a solid 3.5 mm top shell The upside is that the cover is only 20 mm deep, and I don't think it's possible to make it any shorter while still keeping the cable strain relief. However, the downside is that fat red insulated cable terminals won't work - you'll need small uninsulated terminals (3 mm hole, up to 1.5 mm² cable), some shrink tubing, and two regular M3 washers (all available on Amazon or eBay). The usual precautions for wiring a potential fire hazard apply. The front view is still missing because I just realized while printing that the cover sits skewed, and I'd like to figure out why.
