20 Gauge Empty Chamber Indicator (Chamber Flag)

20 Gauge Empty Chamber Indicator (Chamber Flag)

Bought a 20-gauge shotgun, and wanted an empty-chamber indicator for safety reasons. I figure I've freeloaded on this site long enough, I ought to contribute something. The model is nothing special, made in Microsoft 3D builder, but it's optimized for FDM printing and has correct dimensions for 20 Gauge. The diameter of the cylinder is 15.6mm, consistent with the bore diameter of a 20 gauge hull. I added a stopper lug to prevent the flag piece from snapping off. The length is almost 70mm, just short of the fired length of a 2.75 inch shell. This piece should be good for conspicuous range use or other applications where chamber-empty flags are required where the weapon is free-standing. The length of the flag makes it ill-suited for use in a case since the flag is likely to snap. Comments and suggestions welcome. CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 DEED; attribution non-commercial.
