To create a filament runout sensor, use a holder for a limit switch. Cut the middle pin of the switch and then solder pins 1 and 3 to a cable. Finally, connect the cable to your printer, as shown in the last picture.You may need a longer M3 screw to secure it in place where the threaded nut of the Z-Axis is fixed.
