2" Window Blind End Repair
thingiverse
Our new house had window treatments and some of them were in poor condition. I made this repair kit to fix one that was visible from the street. It turned out far better than i had hoped! Step 1: Use a utility knife and a carpenter square to cut the damaged blind end off. The patch includes the slot for the strings to pass through, trim your damaged blind so that the interior edge of the slot becomes the new clean edge. The new cut should be co-linear with the remaining slot edge and perpendicular to the long edge of the blind. Leave it a bit long if you are concerned. Step 2: Use the Drill guide to drill two quarter inch (.25") holes in the remaining blind piece. Use a piece of wood behind the blind to support the piece as you drill through it. Step 3: Dry fit your piece, incrementally trim any excess blind until the patch snaps in place. Step 4: Apply a bit of super glue and hold the patch in place until set. Step 5: Enjoy.
