2 Speed Gear (1207 Gear) Intermediate Shaft
thingiverse
Broke up my gear and decided not to wait for the one in the mail. The small ring has 12 teeth, while the large ring boasts 20 teeth. I modified the diameter of the small ring because the original gear was binding, but this one hasn't been printed yet - it should work better. Update: Printed this out a couple months ago after the first print broke, and it recently broke too, although it's still working on high speed. Switching between gears apparently puts side stress in the center and can separate the two gears. I've printed another one at 85% infill but haven't installed it yet - I may try baking the part to toughen it up. The price is right, just a few pennies and the pain of taking the machine apart. I designed this by tracing part of the broken piece onto paper with a pencil, then scanning the paper into a Cad program and building the part from scratch. It fits on a 12mm shaft with a 4mm key and has a loose fit that allows it to slide right on the shaft. I printed the design on paper and laid the broken pieces onto the page to verify the fit was just right.
