The spindle can be obtained at Lowes or a hardware store. It measures 4.67mm, nearly identical to the 5mm measurement. The holes are also 5mm in diameter; however, they may require drilling. A pancake stepper, 8mm to 5mm CNC Flexible Coupling, is required. Additionally, a threaded rod measuring 5/16 inches with two nuts can be obtained. Cut the rod and glue one nut directly onto the laser plate. Four copper standoffs with 3MM screw type are also needed, which will cost approximately $7.00 or less without the stepper motor. Simply flatten the items before printing. A new Z axis has been designed, utilizing 8mm rods.
