The miniFloppyBot is specifically designed for the RoboGuts circuit board, which packs a lot more functionality into the same space than an Arduino. An Arduino could potentially do the same job, but it would take up more room. The RoboGuts circuit board is optimized for 3D printing and makes S.T.E.A.M. education more accessible, affordable, and easier to implement.
