For those of us who need to pass audio from room to room, this handy-dandy wall plate is the answer. It fits perfectly on a standard wall box, perfect for those low voltage plates that just clip to the wall. 2 XLR with offset holes and two more for a 1/4" jack makes this perfect for running your guitar into the next room or passing headphones over and microphones back. Personally, I run mics from the living room to my bedroom studio to capture my acoustic piano and guitars - but the options are pretty open to whatever suits your needs.
