2" Laser Cut Blast Gate
thingiverse
I haven't cut it yet but the sizes should be precise for using two-inch PVC pipes. Double up the smaller pieces on each side of the rectangular piece to ensure a secure fit. For the siding gate, consider using a slippery material like HDPE or UHMW plastic to facilitate smooth movement. Mounting holes are designed for 8-32 hardware. This design is not self-cleaning. I recommend mounting it so that the slider pulls downwards to prevent dust from accumulating in the grooves. Update 3/11/19 I've modified the file to make it self-cleaning and successfully laser cut it today, with only a slight mistake in the file that has since been corrected. All of the holes align perfectly (orientation is crucial) and the hole for the two-inch PVC pipe fits exactly as intended. I plan to recut the three pieces that were botched again, acquire one-and-three-quarters 8-32 screws, glue it together, and post pictures. Keep an eye out for those photos later this week. Update 10/5/19 I've removed the self-cleaning gate because I still haven't updated the botched parts yet.
