Create a CNC-cut 2-inch plywood box as a test project. Soon to receive MakerBot, considering matching accessories. Since no laser cutter available, using CNC mill instead; result shown here. Used Imperial screws temporarily but will switch to metric socket-head screws for future MakerBot accessories. Use preferred CAM software to transform DXF files into G-code and mill out 0.2-inch plywood (used birch) with 1/8-inch straight flute bit. Requires one bottom, two sides, and two front/back pieces. Adjust slot sizes if plywood thickness varies. Easily remove pieces by cutting tabs. Assemble by attaching side pieces to the bottom, followed by front and back pieces. Optional: attach screws and nuts. Videos provided for milling processes and assembly.
