This is a 2" hitch receiver mount designed specifically for use with GoPros as well as other action cameras that utilize universal mounts similar to those used by GoPro. The design allows any camera using this style of mount to be securely attached without relying on suction cups or alternative mounting methods. I created this mount to provide a convenient and sturdy way to attach my GoPro to the back of my truck, eliminating the need for awkward attachments. The receiver pin holes are strategically positioned on all four sides, enabling the camera to be angled rearward, upward, downward, or sideways as desired. To ensure a tight fit with the hitch pin, the pin holes are slightly undersized and can be easily filed to size in just a few minutes. The nut slot is marginally oversized but works best with an M5x0.8 nut or acorn nut (standard GoPro size). I recommend securing the nut in place using glue for added stability. Four small holes on the front of the mount serve as drainage points, reducing the likelihood of water or ice accumulation within the mount. This design feature has proven effective in real-world testing over rough terrain with no issues reported. I produced this mount using an Anycubic Photon printer and a combination of Siraya Tech Blu and Siraya Tech Fast white resin. The printing process involved removing supports, cleaning, curing, and filing before applying a second coat of cure using my UV curing box. To further reinforce the nut's position, I applied Siraya Tech Blu using a toothpick and then cured it again for added security. This mount has been thoroughly tested over several months with no reported issues, demonstrating its durability and reliability. Depending on your printer type and orientation, you may or may not require support during printing. To aid in the printing process, I've included a photo of how I oriented my mount for optimal results.
