2" Dimple Die

I required a Dimple Die but couldn't justify the expense for a single project. So I decided to print one myself. After researching design guidelines, I created this. Unfortunately, the design didn't meet my expectations and I only realized it after it was printed. As a result, the die remained unused for some time. Next, I experimented with the 3D-printed press brake die, then tried out the dimple die to see how well it performed. I was pleased to discover that it worked as intended as a 2" dimple die and produced a different profile when used with a slightly smaller main hole. Although the design isn't perfect, it does function and demonstrates that carbon fiber nylon is strong enough for tooling applications. All holes were pre-punched in 16g mild steel using a Greenlee Slug Buster.
