2 Cube Speed Test
thingiverse
A standardized test consisting of two 2 cm cubes printed 100 mm apart measures the speed of your printer. To print, follow these steps: Print two shells, two bottom layers, and two top layers. Use a .2 layer thickness setting. Fill the interior with 20% infill material, selecting either honeycomb, triangle patterns or equivalent designs compatible with your slicer. Include two perimeters printed 2 mm from the print to prime hot end edge. Other parameters such as nozzle diameter, printing speed, acceleration, bed placement, type of material, slicer software, hardware, and printer machine should be set by the user. The test is valid if both cubes meet +/- .2 mm precision requirements in all directions.
