2 Color Mix Test

2 Color Mix Test

To create a simple color blending effect, adjust the geometry of your model so that darker layers are beneath lighter ones by around four layers. This technique works best with black and white ABS plastic, producing up to three shades of gray between all-black and all-white objects. However, the transition is more visible on top and bottom surfaces, while only one shade of gray appears on sides. You can use this OpenSCAD script to generate test patterns; customize it according to your skeinforge settings and layer heights for better results. Additionally, experimenting with translucent PLA filament could yield interesting blending effects, although it has only been tested with black and white ABS. Note that a test object may have an extra layer due to a current bug in repg dualstrusion software.
