Is two-color printing on a Makerbot imminent? As no two-color print heads are currently available, I created Mix-n-Match 'Snap To' components as an improvised solution. The Makerbot Coin serves as the perfect demonstration. Feel free to apply these design principles to other items. To use this feature, simply print each part in your desired color; both coin rims are identical for both designs. Two distinct faces and letter inserts are available - choose between 'M' on either side for Makerbot or a double-sided 'M' for Makerbot Industries. These components snap together securely but may require some force to initially attach; once in place, they should stay put. The Rhino3d source code for the coin is included, and design instructions will be posted on my blog soon.
