2 Channel USB Relay case
thingiverse
A box to render Ebay's £3 USB Relay modules electrically safer. Apologies for the poor photo quality - my shed was dark at the time! I couldn't find a pre-made enclosure that fit my module, so I decided to build one myself. These modules can handle up to 10 amps of AC power at 240 volts, but they lack essential safety features to protect users from electrical shock. To address this issue, I designed and built a box with integrated strain relief and grippers, providing better shielding for the live and neutral wires when working with mains or low-voltage projects. Important note: Please do not attempt to work with mains electricity unless you're a qualified professional or electrician. Shocks from mains power can be fatal. This file is meant to serve as a case for Ebay's USB Relay modules, assuming they'll be used for low-voltage applications. By using this enclosure, you'll make your project safer and more reliable than if you didn't have one. I've successfully used this box as a remote switch to turn off my 3D printer, which is located in my shed and controlled by a remote-operated PC.
