This upgraded kit features differential gearing, enabling one drum to drive another at varying speeds for increased syncopation. All components are MakerBotable with a CupCake MakerBot (except rubber bands). Rubber bands act as springs, while programming is done using pegs inserted into holes on the drums. To hear your created rhythm, place objects in front of hammers and crank the machine. Advanced users can add a servo drive for continuous rotation or a µController to vary timing. Share successful builds by sending files and machine types for others to use.
