2 Button Game Boy Macro Flat Faceplate (DS Lite)

THIS IS NOT MY CREATION - I SIMPLY TAKEN EXISTING FILES AND MODIFIED THEM TO BETTER SUIT ME. The original files are designed to be CNC machined, requiring several modifications to accommodate 3D printing. In addition to thickening certain parts, I also enlarged the screw holes so that screws can be threaded directly into the plastic without tapping threads. I continue to work on tweaking the files for stronger prints. Meanwhile, I'm developing a new design that anchors the console to the bottom housing instead of the faceplate, allowing the faceplate to snap in place. This should make the console more structurally sound and easier to print, though I'm still using the gb9k files as a base. Please refer to the following page for the original files: https://github.com/gb9k/GameboyMacro There are two versions of this faceplate - one with four face buttons like the original DS Lite and another with two. I've made modifications only to the two-button version, but you can use all four by drilling out the holes or inserting them before printing. This design requires removing the touch panel on the LCD. I've uploaded two versions, both 2-button style - one with the charge port blocked off (which I used since my Macro has no charge port) and the regular 2-button adjusted file. I recommend using a transparent or semi-transparent filament for aesthetics and to allow the LEDs to shine through, though any color should work. However, I don't recommend printing this with PLA as it becomes brittle over time and your screw posts will snap off, causing the console to fall apart. I suggest printing in PETG (which is what I personally used) or ABS, using a 0.1 mm layer height. I printed successfully with both a 0.3 and a 0.4 mm nozzle. A glass bed is highly recommended for printing directly onto it with a skirt or nothing - a brim may be difficult to trim off the screen bezel and a raft will give the faceplate an unpleasant texture. I printed at 100% infill, 0.1 mm layer height, and 0.25 mm initial layer.
