2-button Arcade Joystick

Inspired by several top-notch designs, I drew inspiration from dist's PÄR² joystick and remixed it to create my own custom stick design. This stick body is a breeze to print because it employs mitered angles (none exceeding 45°) on the edges and corners. It shares similar dimensions with that stick, but is narrower, thanks to input from my wife who requested a stick that fits comfortably in her hands. To boot, a PCB slot has been added to the underside of the top portion so electronics like autofire or Bluetooth can be easily integrated. This design utilizes the same hardware as my earlier remix: - Four M3 x 12 flat head machine screws replace the original ones - Two #4-40 machine screws and nuts secure the DB9 connector in place - A single DB9 female panel mount solder-type connector is used - Four M3 x 3 heatset inserts are embedded into the top of the joystick body for added stability - Four M3 x 16 button-head cap screws hold the body together securely I paired this design with arcade buttons and a joystick module: - A Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK joystick module provides smooth and precise control - Two Sanwa OBSF-30 30mm buttons deliver crisp and responsive feedback
