I created this model for a laptop and tablet stand, aiming to combine modern and compact details while ensuring easy assembly. I needed a sturdy design to support a heavy laptop and a weighty base to prevent slipping when placing or removing the laptop. The pads are adjustable and replaceable, allowing customization with different materials like leather or rubber. Supports are recommended for all parts, and the pads should be attached with suitable adhesive. It's up to you whether you want to apply glue on the surface where the pieces join, or only where the connectors will insert into the structure.Once the base is assembled, a few spots are left empty underneath for two metal pieces. These metal pieces help keep the support heavy and provide additional lateral strength to the sides where the laptop/tablet rests. The dimensions for the metal pieces are: Length 10 cm, Width 2 cm, and Thickness 4 mm. The holes for the screws are 5 cm long, and screws with a 3 mm diameter can be directly screwed in.The metal pieces are optional but can be added later if needed.The pads can be printed with different materials. Initially, they were designed with a softer material to prevent scratches and to cushion the hard plastic. I chose TPU.The pads are adjustable (increase the thickness if your laptop is thinner) or can be easily replaced with your own texture or even other materials like leather or rubber.It's ideal to use supports, not only for the pads but for all parts of this project. To attach the pads, it’s best to glue them to the base using an adhesive appropriate for the material you're printing with.Please try this model and post how it turned out for you.
