This clamshell-style mount is designed for a 2" solid, non-live axle system, resembling boat trailer setups but without springs. ATV seals the carrier to the vehicle sidewall via vertical flanges, while RTV secures the axle to the carrier on cylindrical surfaces. This results in a watertight assembly that allows for lateral and fore-aft axle adjustments through clamshell movement and oval mounting holes in the sidewalls, providing alignment flexibility. Ideal for rear axle carriers on off-road tracked vehicles, gasoline or electric hybrid-powered.
