A two-axis mirror galvanometer is used for constructing a resin printer inspired by Peachy's design. This project combines laser cutting and 3D printing techniques. The 3D printed components include the bobbins of electromagnets and the mount for the laser diode, which is housed in this item: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110887324993 with this diode: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400520595273. The frame is laser cut from 1/4" luan plywood, and all screws are 4-40 1/2". Standoffs measure 5/8" 4-40. The magnets for the galvanometer are purchased from Harbor Freight. Acrylic used is 0.080" thick, laser cut, with thin sections acting as springy hinges returning to center. Although functional, it's not very accurate or repeatable when tracing over a pattern. A video of it drawing a circle on glow-in-the-dark painted board can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGBZ9PvHIxY.
