thingiverse

This 2-axis GoPro gimbal supports your Gopro within a polycarbonate enclosure and works with Xaircraft DIY frames' 12.5mm hole, 50.5mm spaced custom frame mounts. It features a roll mechanism that utilizes rails and gears to provide +/-90 degrees servo travel for +/-55 degrees inner ring rotation, while the pitch mechanism is directly driven by the servo. For vibration damping, it uses Xaircraft rubber rings. If you'd like alternative specifications, contact Adam at adam@polakiumengineering.com. Designed for polyamide printing with 0.1mm layer thickness, 0.2mm detail resolution, and 0.7mm recommended wall thickness, disregarding support structure dissolvability. More information is available at polakiumengineering.com/?p=1146. Note that this prototype hasn't been tested due to lack of affordable 3D printing access. Separately purchase [Qty. 2] 9G EXI Digital Metal Geared Servo and [Qty. 2] 3x7x3 Ceramic Ball Bearing, while a suitable bolt is required for GoPro mounting. Assembly involves inserting roll and pitch bearings, attaching gears to servos, fixing the servos in place, gluing the pitch pin, and finally installing rubber dampers and attaching the gimbal to the frame's loading pipes.
