2.5" x2 ssd drive bay for SuperMicro
thingiverse
I purchased a SuperMicro 6028U-TRTP+ 2U server and needed to install a 2.5" ssd. This chassis has an option for a dual 2.5" internal bay, but mine didn't come with one. Therefore, I designed and printed my own custom drive bay. I was unable to find a reliable source to buy a SuperMicro peripheral-SATA power cable, so I decided to splice together my own alternative solution. I highly recommend purchasing one if you have the opportunity. Upon further research, I discovered that the hex grid design is strongest when oriented vertically, featuring flat bridges instead of vertical pillars. To achieve optimal results, print the drive bay in an upright position.
