2.5" SSD sled for Seagate Thunderbolt Adapter

I built a custom Thunderbolt SSD solution by creating a sled for a bare 2.5" HDD or SSD that fits onto a Seagate Backup Plus Portable Thunderbolt Adapter. After seven iterations, the sled provides a snug fit and exposes the drive's metal casing for air cooling. The setup delivered 350MB/s write and 380MB/s read speeds on my MacBook Pro. I used a Samsung 840 EVO-Series 1TB SSD, Seagate Backup Plus Portable Thunderbolt Adapter, Apple Thunderbolt Cable, and MakerBot PLA Filament. This DIY approach cost $707.43, saving $211.57 compared to the LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt SATA III 1TB Solid State Drive with Cable. Plus, my solution allows for easy drive swapping and boasts one of the fastest large SSDs on the market. The OpenSCAD file is included for customization.
