2,5 inch SSHD case
thingiverse
Hey guys, I designed this case for my external hard drive and I'm really proud of how it turned out. To give it a unique touch, I made the top transparent by using plexiglass - it looks amazing if I do say so myself. Plus, I left an opening to easily connect your SATA-to-USB3.0 cable to the external hard drive. When it comes to printing the case, I highly recommend using the 3fm-files instead of the stl-files for a better quality finish. I had some issues with my first layer because my bed isn't perfectly flat, which is why the surface doesn't look as great as it could be. Fortunately, the heat generated by the hard drive won't cause any problems with the PLA material - you can even edit the files to create some air holes if you want. This will help keep your case cool and prevent any potential issues. To assemble everything, you'll need 4 small M3 screws.
