This protective casing (or simulated HDD) comes in handy when keeping your genuine metal HP NC6000 drive housing in pristine condition after swapping out the original hard drive for an SD / IDE 44-pin or mSATA converter. The fact that the original drive housing is quite pliable and prone to deforming under even minimal pressure means there's a slim chance you'll successfully install the converter without this protective casing. The instructions were printed with standard black PLA on a BuildTak surface using my Prusa I3 Improved 3D printer.
