2.5" Deck Ledger Board to House Spacer with 0.5" Hole
thingiverse
I suggest using a deck spacer to separate your house from the ledger board, ensuring that water doesn't seep into the framing system. This type of device can be found at Home Depot for approximately $3-$5 each. A 90% fill ratio is recommended when printing these spacers, as this will help prevent issues during the manufacturing process. However, I've had success with a 100% fill rate in the past; it's possible to achieve this, but the results can be inconsistent. For best results, print your deck spacers directly onto your heated plate without using a raft. To pull this off successfully, make sure your plate is perfectly level before starting. Keep in mind that I'm not a structural engineer, and these printed spacers might not provide sufficient strength for certain applications. Therefore, use them at your own risk. For optimal performance, only print these parts with ABS filament; using PLA may compromise their durability outdoors due to biodegradation.
