The bulkhead is threaded internally to match a 1.5" PVC connector, allowing it to be inserted through a 2.5" hole. Designed as part of a biofilter set, this piece pairs well with a screen, a compact bulkhead for pump input, a motor mounting bracket, and a plug. To achieve a secure seal, consider using a neoprene sheet (Amazon's Black Neoprene Rubber Sheet: 10" x 20") as the gasket material.
