I'm using a 2.4GHz amplifier enclosure for my RC radio powered by its own 3S battery. This upgrade boosts the power output of my FrSky Taranis Plus from an underwhelming 85 milliwatts to a respectable 2.5 watts. The enclosure provides an independent power source, a 3S LiPo battery, which prevents draining the radio's battery. It also features a voltage alarm, a power switch, and a voltage booster to ensure optimal performance. Since the amplifier requires a constant 12-volt power supply, but lipos drop in voltage during normal discharge to as low as 10.4 volts or lower, this setup is essential for peak performance. To complete this project, you'll need the following parts: 1. A rocker switch found in computer power supply boxes. 2. An XT-60 female connector. 3. A LiPo voltage alarm. 4. A 3S Lipo battery with an XT-60 plug. 5. A 2.5-watt WiFi amplifier. 6. The Sunhans Sh-2500, a 2500-milliwatt wireless signal repeater with a 33-decibel milliwatt WiFi signal booster and 2.5 watts of power. You can find these parts on Amazon through the following links: 1. I printed the enclosure out of PETG, which is perfect for outdoor use. If you try this project, please share your results and like it if you find it useful.
