A protective cover shields your 2.4 GHz folded dipole antenna from damage. This sturdy antenna is easily constructed at home by following the instructions at the link below, where I built mine using .8mm copper wire. If you use 1mm copper wire, simply increase its dimensions by 2% for optimal performance. Print two identical covers and press them together to form a secure enclosure. I've recently added a new model that enables the antenna to function as a Yagi. Simply insert a 63mm 16awg wire through the extended part's hole, which will effectively double the range of the antenna in its designated direction. However, this modification may compromise rearward signal reception. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Alex Greve of VAS for his valuable contribution.
