Human: With the exception of the electronics components, this is a completely 3D printed cuckoo clock! Anyone who follows me on Twitter anytime during the past year would likely know that every Friday, I'd write a parody Xmas carol with an "Ivan Eve" theme to celebrate Ivan Miranda's next video. He recently changed his schedule, so it's no longer going on. One night while discussing this with DasMia, we were joking about having a laugh when a crazy idea struck: making an Ivan Miranda cuckoo clock that would play a bit of one of my Ivan Eve songs followed by a cuckoo action saying SPACERS!!!! After some research and playing around in Fusion360, the IvanM Cuckoo finally came to fruition! DasMia kindly volunteered her services to purchase the required components and print and assemble the final piece. It was unveiled during a live stream where Mia, Pokon, and others assembled a giant Benchy 3D print. Ivan saw it, and I never intended to sell this design as is; rather, it was just going to be more of a template. Ivan loved it so much he gave me his blessing to sell the clock as is! As such, I couldn't resist putting it out there for all, but I've also included instructions on how you might customize it to make your own custom clock if you wish. If you want to see what it looks like in action, check this link: https://youtu.be/R56V6p9g6-Y This project is customizable. You can use the included Fusion 360 source file to develop your own outer housing and create your own custom sounds. I don't mind if you sell your housing designs/sounds, but include only your modified pieces and point back to this file for the remaining components. ============================================================ Note: This item includes all STL files needed to print the clock, but you'll also need the following: ESP32 - (you can use other Arduino devices, but may need extra components for sound and alter the code a little) Speaker - a simple 40mm or so speaker will work; an amplified speaker will produce better sound SG90 Servo - used to move the "cuckoo" Quartz Clock movement - a simple AA battery-powered Quartz clock movement unit you can buy from places like AliExpress for about $2 2x googly eyes (they're modelled, but will likely be unprintable, so purchasing real ones would be best) This can be powered by a battery pack hooked up to the ESP32 or run a USB-power cable to keep it running. Battery life should be quite good as WIFI is not always on. As well as this, it also includes the Fusion360 file so you can make your own custom design if you wish. Please see included documentation for details on how to do this. ============================================================ NB: The clock hands and cuckoo action are not linked; the clock hands will need to be set manually to match the correct time of day. The code that runs on the ESP will connect to WIFI, obtain the correct time based on the timezone you specify, and then disconnect to save battery. Please see the included documents for further information. If you find any issues or just have any questions, please contact me, and I'll do my best to assist ASAP
