2.0" HDPE Arch Leg
thingiverse
This is a leg specifically designed for use with 2.0" OD HDPE pipes. The primary application is typically supporting a Christmas Arch containing an LED strip light when erected. To ensure secure anchoring, holes are provided for inserting tent pegs into the ground. As evident from the original images presented, the initial design lacked trusses; I incorporated these features to enhance the overall structural integrity, particularly essential during PLA printing, as demonstrated by the strength required to withstand various external loads and stressors. Print Settings Employed: * Printer Brand: LulzBot * Specific Model: TAZ 5 * Print Technology Features: + Rafts: No supplementary layer used to create a base support for objects that would otherwise peel off from the print bed due to excessive force applied in the Z-axis. + Supports: Absence of these internal structural components helps ensure faster and cleaner removal after completion, minimizing waste while also streamlining post-processing procedures. * Precision Settings: + Layer Resolution: Set at a detailed 0.38 inches + Material Distribution Inside Particles (Infill): A balanced combination of open spaces and material application used throughout the piece is set at 33% of total material utilized in order to strike a delicate balance between part strength and reduced use of consumables, ultimately contributing to resource efficiency in manufacturing processes.
