I wanted to create battery spacers that work with existing market spacers quickly, so I made one myself. Please don't hesitate to buy if needed! #Cost Breakdown: These spacers take 30 minutes to print and weigh 2 grams. With 20-dollar-a-kilogram filament, they cost about 4 cents USD each. On Amazon, 50 of them cost $8.19 USD (plus shipping for non-Prime members), making them at least 16.4 cents each. #They're 75% off if you print them! The only downside to printing these clips is their reduced durability compared to injection-molded plastic from Amazon. However, printing in PETG or another material besides PLA may improve strength. Be careful when separating the clips, as they are not as strong. A resin printer would likely work well for this project, but I don't have one to test it. #Print Settings: Increase detail and wall thickness to 3 or 4, and you should be good to go! Supports aren't necessary on my machine, but if the clips on the side are not printing correctly, try enabling supports. If your printer is not well-tuned, I've included a loose version that may work better. Try the regular print first, then switch to the loose one if needed.
