Here's a simple twisty puzzle anyone can print. Cut out four corners and center, then attach a core and cap using a screw and spring - you should be able to reuse one from a standard speed cube, preferably not a Rubik's brand. This puzzle works perfectly without a spring, but it performs much better with one in place.
