This creates an endcap that securely holds a 3/8"-16 coupling nut in place. You can then drill a slightly oversized 7/16"-1/2" hole at the center of the 1" edge and 22.90mm from one end, allowing any 3/8-16" wheel with a lock nut and/or washers to be threaded into place as desired. The resulting assembly holds the wheel firmly in this tube. Tube: 1" x 2" x 0.05" Wall I've included the Fusion 360 File for modification and incorporation into more designs. Why: I salvaged an old computer desk, disassembled it, and installed additional "squareing" support to create a sturdy small shop rack for metal parts, as shown in the photo above. The original wheels were too flimsy and prone to falling apart. I discovered a set of 4 2" casters at a local antique market for a great price and decided to replace the existing wheels with these. This is the result of about two redesigns, and it's now extremely solid. You may find use for this cap/support piece in building a welding/wood rack, customizing your own desk, or exploring other creative possibilities.
