I occasionally need to hang network switches or small pieces of rack mountable hardware. To avoid expensive metal brackets, I designed these wall-mountable brackets that can carry minimal weight. These 1U brackets use standard 8 or 10 screws to attach to the wall and feature square holes for cage nuts on rack equipment. I used M6 screws and nuts for mounting. It's essential to install nut flanges from front to back, as they are challenging to fit if installed sideways. These brackets aren't designed to handle heavy loads, so I recommend printing them with at least 85% infill for added strength. I printed these using PETG filament and didn't require supports since the square holes were flat against the printer bed. Using these brackets, I successfully hung a small server and a 48-port switch without any issues. If you find this design helpful, consider donating one dollar to support my filament costs.
