I designed a new home for my two rats on Facebook, a house that would replace their old mushroom box. The mushroom box had initially served its purpose but soon became warped and required a stone to weigh it down, making it impractical. I decided to create a bigger and more comfortable space for them by measuring the size of the mushroom box and improving upon it. To make cleaning easier, I designed a box that could be taken apart in simple steps. The parts fit together in a specific way, ensuring they can only go one way, which may seem tricky at first but makes reassembly relatively straightforward. This was my first attempt at creating boxes with this type of connection, so it's not perfect, but users are welcome to customize it as needed. I plan to post three stages of this project on Facebook, each stage customizable for scaling and design to fit individual spaces.
