This hub will fit perfectly on the Generation 5 Makerbot, allowing you to easily use 1kg rolls of filament. To ensure it fits other roll sizes from justpla.com or elsewhere, size it according to their specifications and adjust accordingly if needed. Before printing, remember to keep the filament door locked in place to make room for a standard stock tube without any modifications required. To ensure smooth movement during the print process, apply a small amount of grease to the hub area where friction might occur. The printing process is straightforward, requiring no additional support material. If you choose to use supports anyway, that's fine too. Alternatively, secure your print job directly onto the glass surface with a thin layer of Aqua-Net hair spray and eliminate the need for a raft entirely.
