So after building my amazing aquaponics system, I introduced some adorable, but not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, tilapia fingerlings into the tank, and then started noticing that my drains into the grow beds were getting clogged. After staring down the pipe, I caught sight of eyes peeking back at me. It turned out that those little guys had gotten sucked right up into the inlet and got stuck at the valve! That just wouldn't do! So shopping at Home Depot didn't yield very satisfactory results, so I decided to just roll my own. These grilled endcaps fit standard 1-inch and 3/4-inch PVC pipes perfectly. Now the fish are happy, and I'm happy too.
