I'm fed up with lids falling off all the time. I've taken drastic measures to ensure a secure fit - I've enlarged the lid's ring in Maya, making it snug against my prints. This way, I can use it as a reliable die that opens and closes smoothly, without any risk of cutting myself on sharp edges. I was forced to remove some burs from my print after smoothing out the ring, but now everything works like clockwork.
