A show-stopping six-arm chandelier, inspired by Brownrigg Interiors' intricate designs, was my top pick due to its elaborate nature. Artstation Project The model was crafted as part of a "Intro to 3D" course at university in 2016, where I worked on several pieces that were all "baroque" themed for use within a larger room for a second-semester project. I selected this particular model because it allowed me to focus on various key areas such as modular modeling techniques, complex and dense meshes, and rendering refraction. During the creation process, I utilized splines to create paths which I then swept to generate geometry, and paired them with arrays to place objects along these paths, like the crystals. Additionally, I applied modular design by only modeling one arm and a quarter of the piece, and then using symmetry to duplicate it, resulting in the final product. It was created entirely within 3DS Max.
