19mm mic clip stereo bar
thingiverse
This kit allows mounting a pair of 19mm mics for either of two stereo mixing techniques - the isolator that appears as a black cylindrical spacer is a Sorbothane isolator - with threaded socket on one end and a threaded stud on the other - in this case, both 1/4-20 threads. It provides vibration isolation for the mics. The project requires printing mating threads and a friction fit mic clip - so managing tolerances is necessary - you need a snug fit on the mic and the threads need to turn freely without binding. There are three bolts - two lengths and one with the integrated washer for use on the absorber - the absorber bolt (mic bolt 3) works with the iso washer. The clips fit snugly into the bottom spacer bar to insure the correct mic angle and spacing The bottom piece (optional) is a Rycote swivel - available from them as a part but the mount could just end at the shock absorber. You can also eliminate the shock absorber as well - using one of the other versions of the bolt. A resilient plastic is recommended - CF Nylon was used for this as shown - PLA would likely be too stiff and wouldn't hold onto the mics well The mics shown are Sennheiser 8000 series with the remote cable and two 8090 capsules
