1995 Lawgiver with lights
thingiverse
This is my first project (and initial attempt at 3D modeling anything)! I had an absolute blast creating it and assembling all the parts, so hopefully you will too. I designed it from scratch in Fusion 360 (.f3d export included) in sections that made sense for printing and assembly. You can simply print out the components, glue them together, and then start sanding/painting, but I modeled the interior in a way that allowed me to run LEDs & wires and use a moveable trigger as the momentary on/off switch for a common ground. I stored a few coin cell batteries inside the magazine (a few because the blue and white LEDs require more voltage than reds and causes too much drop to run all the lights off of one). The flashlight magnifier is just a piece I pulled out of a cheap dollar store flash light lens. I also used some colored plastic notebook tabs from the dollar store for the red and blue light inserts (mostly to get the right color... behind them are red or blue printed .5mm PLA inserts to diffuse the light better). You'll find some extras in the package, such as handle grips and some handled inserts for all the lighted areas so you can use them to cover the red/blue plastic when painting later (it was easier than tape for me). Everything that is split in half should have registration holes 2mm deep. There is a Registration pin STL that you can print multiples of to tie the two halves together. Enjoy!
