1991 Mazda 787B 3d Printed RC Car
thingiverse
Whenever I build a car, I need inspiration. The Mazda 787B has always caught my eye because it won the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans and was a Group C car with a low-slung look, huge rear wing far behind the car, deep dish Volk rims, and iconic Renown livery. Since starting to make RC cars, I've dreamed of making this one. The 1:10 version is 3D printed in Solutech PLA, shown in bare 3D printed finish and bolted together to form a multicolor paint scheme. The rims are two-piece with the front rims having an additional white cover that can be added to recreate the historic nature of the car. The chassis uses a panhard style rear suspension with a rear pod and Tamiya F104 rear axle. I designed and tested the car in Fusion 360. Manual and Parts List included. This 3D RC car aims to inspire people to push limits and try new things.
