Made this for my friend's 1990 Sierra, which was missing a radio altogether, with only a large gap exposing speaker wire. It slides effortlessly into place and stays there securely, but not snugly, so you could use a bit of glue if you want to secure it really well. The advantage of its easy removability is that it's much easier to clean, and you can simply remove it to shake out the typical car dirt which always gets stuck in storage areas.
