You can change them by clicking on them, and then go to materials attributes, where you can change color, transparency, diffuse etc. 2. The doors of the car, the trunk and the bonnet are separate elements, but the other elements of the car are combined to one element. To separate them you can go to mesh -> separate, or to combine them -> mesh -> combine. 3. Mental tay plugin is loaded to this .mb file, and you can render reflective mental ray renders. Also you can add lights and render without mental ray, with maya software of maya hardware.
