1978 Tomy Demon Driver Game Steering Wheel Replacement

This is a relatively rare situation, but I thought I'd post in case there's anyone with a damaged copy of this game from the late 70s who wants to repair it. My own game has been stored for many years and when I pulled it out, I found that something had been sitting on top of it and had broken the plastic steering wheel (see 3rd photo). I've seen them on Ebay like this too, so I guess it might be a common problem if they no longer have the box to store them in. Instructions First, measure what's left of the original and model a replacement. I printed the first version as a single piece, but it worked out well - the support inside the cylinder part was a bit tricky to get out. For my second attempt, I split the model to allow printing without support. The two parts were simply bonded together after that, which is the one in the photos. I've supplied both versions, so choose whichever one you think will work best for you.
