1970 AMC Ambassador SST Headlight Adjuster clip
thingiverse
I designed and printed custom headlight adjuster clips for my 1970 AMC Ambassador SST when I couldn't find the exact parts. All existing clips were broken, held together with zip ties. These clips seem to be working so far but haven't tested them at night yet due to heat concerns about ABS melting. Hopefully this design will help others. I made the holes manually after printing for added strength and found that drilling slightly smaller than needed allowed me to tap in standard M6 bolts on my own. I printed these clips using a Prusa i3 RepRap with no rafts, yes supports, 0.3mm resolution, and 100% infill. The notes state they were designed in DesignSpark Mechanical, printed flat base down, not the overhanging end, like a lamp post. Printing settings included a bed temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit and an extruder temperature of 230 degrees Fahrenheit with white 3mm ABS material from Gizmo Dorks.
