1965 Sunbeam
thingiverse
Suggested by and created for user DADMEZZ This cartoonish twist on a 1965 Sunbeam is the most fun project I've ever tackled, with the added bonus of being the most frustrating. A critical mistake resulted in losing the entire body when the model was 90% complete! Not to be deterred, I started again from scratch. This design represents how I would build a Sunbeam in real life - low and sleek on big wheels, free from unnecessary details like door handles, exposed trunk hinges, and front turn signals. The clean lines will showcase its British Racing Green paint job perfectly, complemented by taupe leather stitching inside the seats and panels. All parts were created 100% in TinkerCad to ensure a seamless printout experience. Each component is carefully separated for ease of printing, leaving room for experimentation with different colors. Tolerances for all parts are set at an impressive .02mm for a snug fit. As always, I appreciate it when users print out my designs and share their creations with me! Seeing my ideas come to life in the real world is incredibly rewarding. Thanks for taking the time to check out this project - I hope you enjoy building and owning one yourself!
